The Curator help & support

Questions about a session, your membership, or something in the archive all reach the same small team. The quick answers below resolve most of what arrives.

Quick answers

The session is being too abstract for my idea

Give it a constraint it cannot ignore — a market, a budget, a timeframe, or the specific customer you have in mind. Sessions widen by default because most people arrive with the idea already too narrow; one hard constraint pulls it straight back down to something testable.

Will you assess my idea confidentially?

Session content is yours and is not published, republished, or used as source material for the archive. If you want an idea kept out of our systems entirely, do not put it in a session — write to us and we will discuss it directly.

Can I suggest a subject for the archive?

Yes, and it is the main way subjects get chosen. Send the subject and, more usefully, why you think the received wisdom about it is wrong. Suggestions with a disagreement attached get read first.

An essay's prediction turned out to be wrong

Tell us — that is the correction we most want. We keep failed calls visible with a note on why the reasoning broke rather than removing them, so a well-argued rebuttal changes the page.

Typical first reply: within two business days. Lost account access and failed payments are treated as urgent — flag it in the first line and we pick it up ahead of the queue.

What to include so we can fix it fast

  • The email on your account — never send us your password.
  • A link to the session or essay, and roughly when it happened.
  • What you expected versus what actually happened.
  • Device and browser, e.g. "Windows 11, Edge" — plus a screenshot if the interface misbehaved.

Guided sessions

A session is an interview, not a search. It asks one question at a time, keeps a working hypothesis about what you are really trying to decide, and commits once it has enough to be useful. Sessions are saved and resumable.

Membership and billing

Plans, top-ups and cancellation are handled in your profile. For an unrecognised charge, open a ticket with the date and amount and we will trace it.

Using our material

Quote us with a link. For syndication, translation or classroom use of a full essay, write to us — we say yes to most requests and want the attribution correct.

Corrections and sources

Send the essay link and the claim in dispute. Where we cite a primary document, tell us if you think we have read it wrong; that argument is welcome.

Accessibility

The help bubble carries text sizing, contrast, dyslexia-friendly type, a reading guide and read-aloud. Accessibility reports jump the queue.

Privacy and your data

Export or delete your data from the "Request my data" tab in your profile; session transcripts are included.
